An Unfortunate Delay
Périers sur le Dan, France 06/06/44: On Sword Beach
the 2nd KSLI arrives at 10:10 am in the second wave with
Staffordshire Yeomanry tanks in support. Its mission is to
advance towards Caen by following the road of Ouistreham.
It's a race against the clock. To take Caen is to open the
road to Paris. But from the start the crowded beaches are
causing the British to fall behind.

Battle Map:
Preparation:
Remove from the British and German decks all
Artillery and Aviation cards.
The German player is placed first. The British
player has the initiative. Place the corresponding
marker on box 1 of the turn counter.
Each player draws 4 cards.
Victory Conditions:
The British player wins if he controls two
objectives at the end of the scenario.
Special Rules:
The German player may place hidden 2 units in
his deployment area at the start of the scenario.
Write down their contact information on a piece
of paper. Hidden units are revealed if they make
a move, a shot, or if an enemy unit tries to enter
their square. In this last case the British player
can decide if he makes an assault or returns to
the square previously left and stops his
movement.
Epilogue:
The men of the "Ironside" division stumble upon
three Pak 8.8cm of the Pz Jg Abt 200 detached
from the 716 ID. The 88s immediately knock out
five Shermans and block the British advance
until 14:00. A well planned assault will be
necessary to neutralize the German anti-tank
guns. 12 more Shermans will be lost. The delays
have consumed most of the day and Caen will
not be taken on D-Day.
