I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
a. Describe how drug of abuse are classified. (H9S-IIc-18)
b. Classify drugs of abuse according to their effects on the body. (9S-IId-20)
c. Produce a table flipchart of the classification of drugs and their effects on the body.
(H9S-IIe-f-21)

II. SUBJECT MATTER


Topic: The Six (6) Classification of Drug of Abuse
Materials: Monitor, Slide presentation, Clicker, laptop, Tablet, Wi-Fi Router
Reference: Physical Education and Health (Grade 9 Book, pages 279-282)

III. LEARNING PROCESS:


A. ACTIVITY
-Show a video regarding the use and abuse of drugs.
GUIDE QUESTIONS:
 Based from the video, what word can you associate with the word “DRUGS”?
 Why do people still use drugs even it destroys life?
- Give a 5-item Pretest.

B. ANALYSIS
-What is the most common example of drugs that you know?
-Do you know someone who is engage in using Drugs?

C. ABSTRATION
Discussion, Film Viewing, and Use of Table Flip Chart on the:
 The Six Classification of Drug of Abuse

D. APPLICATION
1. Are all drugs have bad effects? Or some are also are helpful?
2. Are all drugs addictive?
3. Can I get addicted if I do it sometimes?
4. Is it okay to drink alcohol, it can’t be that dangerous anyway, right?
5. Your doctor, gave you a prescription of taking depressant drugs because you easily get
stressed, is it okay to take the prescription?

IV. EVALUATION
-Give a 5-item posttest.

V. ASSIGNMENT
- SHOW YOUR TALENT: Submit any of the following: Spoken Poetry, Song Composition,
Dance, Drama, Video Presentation with the theme “SAY NO TO DRUGS”
- It may be done individually or by group.
