Re: Donald Brown

Subject: Community Builder Award Nomination

I am writing regarding Donald Brown and his community involvement. I met Don
when he was working with the Royal New Brunswick Rifle Association as an airgun
shooting coach. It was well known that the athletes from St. Stephen were well
trained and successful no matter where they competed. The St. Stephen airgun
club members competed not only in this province but at Canada Games, other
provinces, U.S.A. and in other countries and were very successful. They were
medal winners. Don always had the best interests of the athletes in mind in
training, equipment, and their well-being. He gave an inordinate amount of time
to the St. Stephen Airgun Club. He took advantage of any training available to
become an even better coach.

The Royal New Brunswick Rifle Association is the sport governing body for
shooting in New Brunswick. Airgun shooting is one of the sections. Don was a
member who served as a director and as liaison to the Shooting Federation of
Canada. He also worked with The New Brunswick Sport Branch in the interests of
his athletes.

It is for these reasons that I nominate Donald Brown for a community builder
award.
