METHODE OF WORK

FLAT FLOOR
CONCRETE SLAB ZONING
CONCRETE SLAB ZONING

GUIDE RAIL
ZONE A1 ZONE A2
CONCRETE TERMS AND CONDITIONS :
• Minimum concrete slump at 9 – 10, in the pouring area.

• Initial setting must be done continuously for 3.5 – 4 hours after pouring concrete.

• All additives are not added on site.

• There should be no addition of water ratio because it can affect the W/C ratio

• Seal content in sand or aggregate is not more than 1.5%

• The interval must be done continuously, the delay should not be more than 30 minutes.

• Sand and other aggregates in concrete must be free from organic debris.

• Pouring concrete must be at the same level or more than the level of the guide rail so that it is easy to remove.

• The order of pouring concrete must be continuous and unidirectional.

FLAT FLOOR WORK
• Surface Finishing

1. Initial leveling with screeder, level will be affected by guide rail stiffness, datum point, chamber, surling
& deflection. The screeder will be operated at the top of the guide rail, therefore a rigid, solid and stable
guide rail is needed. Cold joint can also affect FF & FL.

2. The first leveling process on the surface uses a saw beam. The use of sawbeam is carried out immediately
after the screeder passes.

3. The second leveling process uses a check rod, to produce a more even surface.

4. The third leveling process uses a bump cutter, to remove a wavy or curling surface.

5. The first smoothing process uses a power trowel with dispan, serves to increase the density of the floor
surface and can smooth the concrete surface to the maximum.

6. The second smoothing process uses a regular trowel so that the concrete surface is smoother and reduces
the pores of the concrete surface.
FLAT FLOOR WORK
• Manual Curing

Manual curing is carried out using water for a minimum of 14 days to maximize evaporation of the concrete
surface and reduce plastic shrinkage.
