Catan, is a colorful multiplayer board game that has been established in 1995 in Germany that
comes in a red and yellow box, is characterized by several distinguishing features. The aim in this
game is to reach ten victory points. In 2020 more than 32 million copies in 40 languages had been
sold. First of all, Catan is a hexagonal 3D board game with 11.63*9.5*3 inches for the island settle
cities. In addition, it has different tools to play with; such as rectangular cards and dices. The cards
are used to build the city without resource, the game playing pieces used for marking the islands and
the dices comes with 2 colors; yellow and red to take turn in trading. Also, there are various
resources. For example, pastures produce wool, mountains produce ore, fields produce grain, hills
produce bricks, forest produce lumber and the robber token which placed in the desert. To sum up,
Catan is a multiplayer board game that is organized and divided into mountains and islands that has
different materials, tools and resources where players can build settlements, cities and roads and it is
characterized by hexagonal colorful features and it has specific tools and components, like cards and
dices and game playing pieces.
