Subject: Answer to a query from Personnel Department: Why I failed to meet

them when they had sent a letter to my permanent address

Respected Sir,
I wrote a letter to the Kolkata Municipal Corporation dated 10/08/2017 applying for a
job on compassionate ground. In this letter, I gave my present address (for correspondence) 9/7 Netaji
Nagar, Regent Estate, Kolkata 92 and my permanent address 12B/1A Paddapukur Road, Kolkata 92 with
my mobile number. So I expected any correspondence from the Kolkata Municipal Corporation to my
present address . In the flat of my deceased father (permanent address - 12B/1A Paddapukur Road,
Kolkata 92) neither my mother nor I live till now, after the demise of my father. Since my father’s death,
I have been staying at my paternal grandfather’s house (present address - 9/7 Netaji Nagar, Regent
Estate, Kolkata 92) and my mother live at her father’s house, which is nearby. So we have not come to
know about any letter sent by the Kolkata Municipal Corporation to my permanent address (12B/1A
Paddapukur Road, Kolkata 92).

I went to the Personnel Department of the Head Office (S.N. Banerjee Road, Kolkata)
several times after the submission of application dated 10/08/2017 for a job on compassionate ground.
I met A.P.O and Dy. P.O. But the concerned department said that I need not visit the Personnel
Deparmentment. The Department will send letter to me. But till now I have not received any letter from
the Kolkata Municipal Corporation in this regard.

I earnestly appeal to you to consider me for a job in the Kolkata Municipal Corporation.
