How to submit filed income tax return and its attachments through BIR’s webpage

1. Go to www.bir.gov.ph

2. Select Use BIR eServices

3. Select eAFS

4. Log in or click not registered to create your account


5. Enter your taxpayer information on the required fields. As an individual taxpayer enter
your TIN details (NOT your Company TIN) and personal information on the Taxpayer’s
Information and Authorized Tax Agent/Representative

6. Be sure to read the reminders on the login information. Click submit once done

7. You will receive an email verification to activate your account


8. Click File Upload

9. Enter the following details:


a. Select ‘Annual’ on the Period
b. Select ‘December (12)’ on the Month
c. Select ‘2021’ on the Year

10. Before uploading, group the documents into 2 files. Take note that only PDF document
type is valid and file size limit per document is 4.8GB

File 1 - Income Tax Return (ITR) includes:


a. Electronically Filed Form 1700
b. eBIR Email Confirmation
c. Proof of Payment (if any)
File 2 – Others (OTH) includes:
a. ALL 2316 Forms
***You may use different applications to combine PDF files like ilovepdf or combinepdf***

11. Use these file naming conventions:


File 1: EAFSXXXXXXXXXITRTYMMYYYY
File 2: EAFSXXXXXXXXXOTHTYMMYYYY

Where: XXXXXXXXX is the nine-digit Tax Identification Number


: TY is Taxable Year
: MM is the Month end of the taxable year (Use 12)
: YYYY is the Year Ended (Use 2021)
12. Upload the files in the correct fields (in green arrow). Make sure to follow the correct file
naming convention. Once finished click on Submit
14. You will receive a Reference Number in your email address showing that your BIR AFS
submission upload was received. We highly suggest that you keep a copy of this
notification as this is the replacement of the “stamp process” of BIR
