NEW BREED TRAINING ON CONDUCTING SPECIALIZED RESEARCH


FOR EsP TEACHERS AND TA PROVIDERS

1. Adherent to Article 2, Section 10.2. of Republic Act (RA) 10533 otherwise known as the
Implementing Guidelines of the K-12 Enhancing Basic Education Curriculum of 2012,
in support of the efforts of the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID) to help
improve teaching-learning performance and recover learning gaps, this Office will
conduct a New Breed Training on Conducting Specialized Research for EsP
Teachers and TA Providers with the theme “The EsP Classroom Needs You: A
Research Development and Innovation Call for Teachers and TA Providers” via
synchronous using an online platform, asynchronous for self-paced activities, and in-
person for speakers and facilitators’ sessions on November 22-25, 2022. The in-
person sessions approach is the first attempt of EsP team believing that no one has
done this yet. This means that the speakers and facilitators will be the ones to reach
out and deliver the sessions to the participants during their free time in their
respective schools.

2. This training aims to improve EsP’s teaching-learning processes and recover learning
gaps. Specifically, at the end of the webinar, the participants shall be able to:
2.1. recognize relevant research management policies and guidelines,
2.2. identify research development and innovation opportunities for EsP classrooms,
2.3. comment and suggest on a given research presentation by select EsP teachers and
their research development project and innovation, and
2.4. collaborate in the planning of writing and conducting research development and
innovation at least at the school level.

3. School Heads are instructed to encourage EsP teachers with research projects, be it
approved proposals or completed papers to accomplish the Google Form herein
<https://bit.ly/3Dp7VAQ> by providing necessary data in order to be included in the
priority list of participants.

4. Enlisted participants which will be issued on a separate memorandum shall submit


their official class schedule from schools through their EsP Coordinator, making sure
that they don’t have classes during the synchronous activities, and they will be present
during the in-person for speakers and facilitators’ sessions.

5. In cases of conflicting schedules, necessary arrangements should be done on the


schedule of classes of the participants and the teachers to “pitch in” on their respective
classes in relation to the NO-DISRUPTION OF CLASSES POLICY stipulated in DepEd
Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task
and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.

6. Participants are expected to have with them a laptop, extension cord, and strong
internet connection during the entire duration of the training.

7. Members of the Program Management Team and Resource Facilitators will have rigid
coordination through the official group chats, while the Facilitators’ dry run will be on
November 21, 2022, at 1:30 PM onwards via the Google Meet app which link will be
posted on the official group chat.

8. The program of activities, program management team and training matrix are attached
as enclosures to this memorandum for reference.
