1. learning linguistics is of course very important, especially for those of us who are
students majoring in English literature, we need to learn about linguistics so we can
better absorb and understand the meaning and meaning of a language. Especially
for students majoring in English literature who will have a lot to do with language and
literature, we certainly need to deepen our insight into linguistics.

2. we must study linguistics scientifically because by studying linguistics scientifically,


we will know more deeply what the meaning and meaning in the language is, by
studying linguistics scientifically, we are required to think more critically and we must
also pay attention to the existence of theories about the language. .

3. The problem that is often encountered in learning English in Indonesia is intention, of


course we need the intention to learn English because English requires us to learn by
reading books, watching films in English, and also practicing communicating in
English, lack of intention to read and practicing will greatly hinder our progress in
learning to speak English. and also we have to often speak using English, this can
also be categorized as a way of practicing speaking because by frequently speaking
using English, our great speaking skills will increase by itself. 

4. In my opinion, the function of language is a bridge between individuals, language is a


communication tool that is very useful in life, humans are social beings who cannot
live alone, humans will definitely need the help of others and with language it makes
it easier for us to socialize . 

5. The differences between English and Indonesian are very clear, among others. Active and
passive sentences, in English and Indonesian, use the same active and passive sentences, but
in Indonesian, the passive voice is used more frequently and whereas in English it uses the
active voice more often. The use of verb tenses, Indonesian is relatively easy to learn
because the use of verbs is quite simple, different from English which will pay attention to
situations such as past, present, or future
