STATIONS

1. Potato Sack Race: Each team starts lined up behind their cone. The first
person, in each group, starts with both feet in the potato sack. Students must
hop, with their feet inside the sack, down and around the cone, and then back
to where they started. When they get back to the cone, they get out of the
sack, and the next person continues. If students run, instead of hopping, they
must go all the way back to the cone they started at.

2. Ball/Spoon Race: Each team starts behind their cone. The first person in
each line starts with a ball on their spoon. They go down, around the cone
and back. When they get back to the line, they hand the spoon and ball to
the next person separately. The next person in line then puts the ball on the
spoon and does the same thing. If the ball falls off the spoon, they must stop
where they are and put the ball back on the spoon before they continue. Play
for a best of 7, or as many races as possible in 10 minutes.

3. Beanbag Toss: Each team starts behind their cone. The first person in each
line has the beanbags. They try and toss the bean bags into the bin that’s
placed ahead of them. After they are done, that person runs to collect their
beanbags and then hands them to the next person, who does the same thing.

4. Water Station: Handout water to students. (10min break)

5. Jar Items Guess: Each student will be able to look at the jars on the table,
and will write down how many items they think are in each jar. The
students must put their name, how many items they think are inside, and the
jar number on the piece of paper. Students may turn the jar around, but can’t
take the jar off of the table. Don’t tell the students, if they were right or
wrong until field day is over.

6. Football Target: Scholars will throw the football through the targets. There
will be two targets, the team that throws the most footballs through the target
will win the round.
7. Obstacle Course (Fit Soccer Kids): The soccer instructor will be providing
instruction on the obstacle course. Students will be timed while navigating
through the course.

8. Ring Toss: Scholars will throw the rings around the cones. Teams will
compete to see who can get more rings around the cone.

9. Keep it up: Each group stays within the activity area and plays a game of
“keep it up” by hitting a ball into the air to pass it to each other. Scholars
will work together to prevent the ball from hitting the floor. Count how
many times you can hit the ball before it touches the ground.

10. Frisbee Toss: Scholars will throw the Frisbee at the target and try to knock
off the water bottle standing. The first team that knocks down the water
bottle to the ground will win that round.

11. Fill the Container Race: Each team starts behind their cone. The first
person in each line starts off with a cup in their hands. They have to dip the
cup in water, run down to the bucket and dump it so that the water goes into
the bucket. They then run back and hand the cup to the next person in line,
and they do the same thing. This continues until one team gets enough water
into the bucket, where it reaches the line.

12. Team Hula-Hoop: Each team starts off, standing in a circle and hand in
hand. A hula-hoop is placed around one set of hands (in each line), and the
students have to get the hula-hoop around each student in the circle, back to
where it started in the circle. The chain can’t be broken to get the hoop
around.

13. Water Station: Handout water to students. (10 min break)

14. Hopper Ball: Scholars will bounce and race on the hopper ball down to the
cone and back. The first team that bounces down to the cone and back will
win the round.
15. Parachute: Students will all have a handle on the parachute. Teacher will
lead various parachute activities.
Making Waves - Students will make waves at different levels. Small slow,
small fast, big slow, big fast.
Color switch- All students will lift the parachute above their head, and the
teacher will yell out a color, the color that is called will let go of the
parachute run under to find another handle with the same color.
Popcorn - Teacher will place various pieces of equipment on the parachute
when the teacher says go students will make big fast waves to try to get all
of the equipment off.
Volcano - Teacher places ball on the parachute and says volcano, students
lift arms over head, teacher says volcano, and students quickly pull down the
parachute launching the balls up in the air.
Bubble – Teacher will count down 3 2 1 0 and have the students lift the
parachute up and sit inside the parachute forming a bubble. Students do not
let go of the parachute.

16. Obstacle Course (Fit Soccer Kids): The soccer instructor will be providing
instruction on the obstacle course. Students will be timed while navigating
through the course.

17. Sponge Race: Students be split into two teams in 2 straight lines. Each
team will have a bucket full of water in the front of the line an empty bucket
at the end of their line. The student in the front of the line will start with a
sponge. They will dip the sponge into the water then hand it behind them
over their head to the next person in line. Students will continue to hand the
sponge over their heads behind them until it gets to the last person in the
line. The last person squeeze the sponge over the bucket. When the sponge is
fully squeezed, the student will run to the front of the line and dip the sponge
into the full bucket of water then continue to pass it behind them to the next
person in line.
18. Duck Duck Goose/Duck Duck Splash: Pick a person to be “it”. Hand
them a cup with water in it – it is up to you how much you want to get wet.
It can be a splash or a soak. The person that is “it” goes around the circle
tapping the people sitting on the head and saying, “Duck”. But instead of
saying “Goose!”, the person that is “it” pours the cup of water onto the
seated persons head and runs for it! The person that got soaked jumps up to
chase the person that is “it”. If the person that poured the water makes it all
the way around the circle and back to the empty spot, they are safe and the
person that got soaked is now “it”. If they are tagged, then they continue on
as being the person that is “it” and go around the circle to soak another
person.

19. Limbo: Students will start in a straight line. Students will try to go under
the limbo stick without touching it. If the students touch it, they will be out
until the next round. Students can bend anyway they would like to get under
the stick but they can’t have any other part of their body expect for their feet
touch the ground. The game goes on until there is one student left. The
limbo stick will start level and will progressively get lower and more
difficult as the game continues.

20. Water Station: Handout water to students. (10 min break)

21. Bounce House: Students will jump in bounce house and go down slide.

22. Soccer Target (Fit Soccer Kids): Students will kick the soccer ball at the
soccer bullseye target. The soccer instructor will provide instruction at this
station.

23. Basketball Shoot out: Students will take turns shooting the basketball at
the hoop.
