Welcome to today’s edition of Kaleidoscope……that promises to delight and

tickle your funny bones. It provides a welcome escape from the chaos of the
world and to have a good laugh and give some relief….

*Thinking that no one could hear him a man in Europe loaded his UPS tractor
trailer and began to whistle. He was really getting into it when his co-worker in
the next trailer poked his head in and said, “You know I always used to wish I
could whistle. ““Now I just wish you could. ”Embarassed the man wished that
he had done a better job at whistling. Well…. Like they say it’s never too late to
learn to whistle.

*At an event famous for giving out awards in bizarre categories in Spain, the
emcee enthusiastically announced,“ The next prize will go to the laziest person
in the audience. If you think you qualify raise your hand.” Every one raised
their hand except a middle -aged man who seemed to show little interest.
“Congratulations, you are the winner” said the emcee to the man. “Your prize
is a 100$ bill.” Still showing no interest the man replied, “Would you mind
coming over here and putting it in my pocket?”. A truly deserving candidate for
the lazy award…. what say………

*Now a strange story from closer home.

This is the strange but true story of 69-year-old Ziona Chan who lives in
the remote mountain village called
Baktwang, in northeast India. He married his first wife at the age of 17; as
time passed he married new wives continuously, now he has 39 wives.
He has fathered 86 children; and now he also has 35 grandchildren. His
youngest wife is only 31 years old. The 160 members of his enormous
family all live in a four-story purple building. Their home has 22
bedrooms in the building; there 20 dormitory style beds in each
bedroom. The family often eats 25 kilograms of rice, 40 kg of potatoes
and 5 kg lentils a day. They eat meat three times a week and this can
mean they finish every time 30 chickens and probably a pig. The whole
family cooks and perform their duties together and are extremely
happy. He considers himself blessed, and a lucky man to be the husband
of 39 women and head of the world's largest family.
