I congratulate each one of you for this milestone.

My sincerest appreciation to the school heads,

teachers and parents for exerting their best efforts in keeping our educational system despite the
challenges that we experienced in the past two years.

You have become resilient in the face of adversities. You are a product of one of the most
difficult periods of our history. The landscape of many aspects of our lives have dramatically changed
due to the pandemic and we are still in the point of uncertainty in terms of its long-term effects in our
society.

We are deeply challenged by the pandemic. Although you are probably are different
circumstances and it might have diverse impact on each one of you, but I am sure that you have all
learned valuable lessons that have made you stronger and ready to face the most challenging situation
in the years to come.

Our theme this year, ”Gradweyt Ng K to 12 Masigasig sa mga Pangarap at Matatag sa mga
Pagsubok” (K to 12 Graduates: Pursuing Dreams and Fostering Resilience in the face of Adversity)
embody the kind of learner you are.

Sometimes in life we face problems that may seem insurmountable. We need to learn to
overcome obstacles that appear in our journey. Overcoming obstacles is important because an ability to
overcome difficulties allow us to move forward in life, and not be held back by the challenges that we
encounter.

Michael Phelps, the most decorated Olympian of all time in swimming said. “There will be
obstacles. There will be doubters. There will be mistakes. But with hard work, there are no limits”. We
need to equip ourselves with the needed knowledge and skills to reach our dreams and aspirations. We
need to strive for excellence. Draw inspirations from other people’s struggles and successes. Always be
at your best elements at all times. Be an inspiration to others.

Lastly, be grateful to everything that you have learned, for every skill that you have acquired and
for every experience that made you who you are. We can only move forward if we do not forget the
lessons of the past.
