HSBC
HSBC
At an investor meeting in March 2004, HSBC revealed "Managing for Growth," the
group's five-year long-term growth strategy. It was declared that building the HSBC
brand and investing in people will be important growth levers.
why?
HSBC thought that since they had direct contact with people, businesses, and
communities all across the world, multinational corporations had a stronger need to
support social, ethical, and environmental concerns. Sir John Bond, Chairman of the
HSBC Group, outlined the group's current goals in this report.
The group's top priority in this dynamic environment was to be a successful business
that fulfilled the interests of all stakeholders in the short term and, more crucially, in the
long term future as long as the globe continued to confront numerous problems.
The group thus held that the corporation must first be a prosperous economic concern
in order to fulfill its obligations to the social community and environment.
The group thus had the view that spending their time, money, and resources in CSR
activities would result in a positive brand image for them and serve as a catalyst for
long-term, sustainable earnings development.

additional environmentalprojects at Royal Botanic Gardens locations.
