Accomplishment Report in DRRM

I. Introduction:

Department of Education officially designated July as the National Disaster Resilience Month
, in compliance to Republic Act 10121 of 2010 also known as the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction
and Management Act.
to the unnumbered Division Memo dated July 16, 2021 and Executive order No. 29 dated
June 28, 2017 which mandates the observance of the National Disaster Resilience Month throughout
the country

This celebration aims to increase the awareness of every Filipino especially pupils and school
personnel on natural and man-made hazards for a better appreciation of the department’s disaster
preparedness program.

In line with this, SAPLAD DAVID ELEMENTARY SCHOOL joined the month long
celebration and conducted activities to honor the said event.

III. Accomplishment:

A. Narrative:

In line with the campaign of the Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM) In equipping
the school children with the knowledge, proper attitude and skills on what to do in case of an Earth
quake.
Connectively the SAPLAD DAVID ELEMENTARY SCHOOL conducted the simultaneous
Earth quake drill First to Fourth quarter of 2021. This was affirmed by the Department of Education
for the Simultaneous Earth Quake Drill 2021
The drill started with the pressing of the button via online were pupils from Kindergarten to
Grade six together with the teachers followed the three important thing during the earth quake these
were the ducking, holding, and covering. Watching for the falling objects and keeping calm and
avoiding panic.
Before the drill the school DRRM Leader orient the pupils via google meet and disseminated
information about the occurrence of an earthquake as well as the need to carry out a drill to enhance
the pupil’s awareness on the safety measures before,during and after an earthquake.
After the earthquake drill pupils from kinder to grade 6 sent their pictures doing the
duck,cover and hold in their Group chat.
Furthermore this activity intensified their awareness and highlighted their awareness
regarding disaster risk reduction wherever they are in time of incidences.
