INTRODUCTION:

The global outbreak of COVID – 19 has resulted in closure of gyms,

stadiums, pools, dance and fitness studios, physiotherapy centers parks and

playground. Many students’ athletes are therefore not able to actively participate in

their regular individual or group sporting or physical activities outside their homes

World over, sport like Sepak Takraw is the other sport that athletes

need techniques, skills, capabilities, physical fitness and styles to play as both an art

and a sport. It has been used to relay important health campaigns benefiting the

community. The game of Sepak Takraw has resulted to skill development in many

nations across the globe and has contributed in enriching individuals where viewers

thus gain all-time excitement, allurement and enjoyment.\

After two (2) years of covid – 19 pandemic, study shows that many of

the students athletes were lacked of proper fitness, poor skill development, bad

habits developed from over-competition focused on winning and undeveloped and

unrefined skills due to under-training. (https://sportforlife.ca> issues-in-sport)

But since there are already vaccines that helps boost our immune

system and can prevent a person from getting the virus at a higher risk, it is to

assume that bringing back some of the sports leagues such as sepak takraw would

be possible.
 As a result, the proponent wants to conduct an Inter-town league event

for the reasons mentioned above. This initiative has the potential to help the players

to boost their immune system and keep them physically fit and healthy.

BACKGROUND

Galarin NHS Sepak Takraw Team Club was formed in year 2006 which

has been known throughout the district of Urbiztondo until the present year. With

every win year after year at the district and division level, Galarin NHS Sepak

Takraw Team maintain the crown of being the defending champion.

The proposed project is to conduct the 1st Urbiztondo Sepak Takraw

Tournament Team and Regu Event for men and women aging 17 below for junior

category and 18 above for senior category in order to develop their physical talents

to the maximum potential and promote sound health, safety and physical fitness.

The Galarin NHS Sepak Takraw Team Club wish to keep our youths

busy through sports.

PROJECT

The aim of the Project is to establish connection and bonds to other

players, developed their physical talents to the maximum potential and promote

sound health, safety and physical fitness.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES
The overall goal of the project using the Club are the following:

1. To provide opportunities for participation in variety of local programs and

events.

2. To encourage the development activities in a variety of sports.

3. Build sportsmanship and leadership.

4. Produce a healthy body and mind and assess discipline and personality.

5. Bring out the potential of each player.

category of Urbiztondo.

DATE AND VENUE:

January 28 - 29, 2023 and at Urbiztondo Sports Complex

8:00 am to 12:00 and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm

METHOD:

In order to achieve the objectives of the project, the proponent will seek

help from the Mayor of Urbiztondo and support from Urbiztondo Sports Development

Council for the approval of the event and to provide financial assistance.

EXPECTED OUTPUT:

The expected output or outcome of this project is to help the players

mold their personality and determine their potential. The participants as well as the

proponent should also be able to maintain a healthy body and strong immune

system. They are also expected to improve social communication and build relation

towards other individual.
