- If you have selected demand-driven planning as your planning procedure, all planning
proposals are created by date and quantity for each requirement.
With the periodic lot-sizing method, a planning proposal is created for all requirements
within a fixed period. You use periodic lots to reduce the number of orders and ordering

With this method, the planning proposal quantity is high enough to cover all demand
within a number of days after the due date of the planning proposal (that is, within the
target days of supply)
