Description

Salitre offers spacious natural wetlands, in which there is flora and fauna, unique in the
Province of Guayas; and even some of the species are in danger of extinction. Among the
scheduled events, the following stand out: The Amorfinos (Oral and Musical Tradition), during
the Columbus Day festival on October 12, during the festival program, the day of the event you
can enjoy the amorfinos, however, in peasant meetings they can also take place. Montubia
Night and Rodeos Montubios, every year on October 12 as part of the programs of the
traditional date of exaltation of the Montubio culture of the Guayas basin. Among its most
important festivities it is necessary to mention the May 26 day of Santa Marianita de Jesús,
