“Battle of the Brain”

Guidelines:

1. Participants will be from the public and private secondary schools in Camarines Norte. (Any year
level).
2. Each school should have 1 participating team composed of 3 members.
3. The team would have an onsite registration and shall pay 100 pesos for the registration fee of the
team. ( All participants should present their valid Id on the facilitator of the game)
4. The facilitator will provide a place on which the participants will wait until the game will begin.
5. The game will start at exactly 8:15 a.m. ( Late comers will be accepted but they take the risk that
they miss several points on the game)

Mechanics:

1. The game is divided into 4 levels. ( Easy, average, difficult and final round )
2. All questions will be taken from the different fields of science, such as general science, biology,
chemistry and physics.
3. The Easy, average and difficult level have 20 questions each. (Easy level is good for 1 pt., average
is good for 3 pts., and difficult is good for 5 pts.).
4. Facilitator will ask 3 bonus questions for each level. The luckiest team that could answer the
questions will have power to deduct one pt., 3 pts., and 5 pts., to their enemy.
5. The facilitator shall only read the questions twice.
6. After the difficult round, the scores on each level will be sum up. Then, based on the result, the top
3 highest score will be the luckiest team to play on the final round.
7. On the final round, all teams will back to zero score. In this round, there are question that will be
raised by the facilitator. Then, there are persons who will answer the questions. The participants
need to identify whether the answer of the person is a fact or a bluff.
8. For each correct answer, it is equivalent to 1 point. Each team will be given 10 questions. The team
who earn more points on this level will be the champion of the game.
