Due to unprecedented demand, the majority of Postgraduate courses starting in September

2022 are now closed to International Students. This information may help you if you have a
question about your application.

I am in the process of submitting my application, can I still submit?

We have re-opened applications for a small number of courses for entry in September 2022.
Please review individual course pages for further details of which courses have re-opened.
Applications for entry in January 2023 will reopen in August 2022.

I have just submitted my application, will it still be considered?

Your application will be considered but there may be a delay in responding due to the large
numbers of applications we are currently processing. We will contact you in due course with
information about the status of your application.

I have applied but not heard anything, will my application still be considered?

Yes, your application will be considered. We are currently working to an eight-week

turnaround time for new applications and will contact you in due course with information
about the status of your application.

What will the turnaround time be for applications if they are reopened? (Will I
still have time to apply?)

What happens if I apply now for Jan 23? When would that be processed?

We aim to reopen to January 2023 applications in August. If you have already submitted an
application for January, we will be in touch with further information in August.

I have accepted my offer for September 2022, when will I hear about my
CAS?

We will begin issuing CAS for September 2022 in May. Once you have accepted an
unconditional offer and paid your deposit, you will receive your CAS in good time to secure
your Student Visa.

I am a refugee/asylum seeker, can I still apply for September 2022?

Yes, we will still accept applications for refugee and asylum seeker students for September
2022. Please contact our SHU Progress team for advice.
