Activity #5—GIVE ME

A. Measuring tools
1. Measuring cups—it is used to measure ingredients accurately.
2. Measuring spoons– it is used to measure small amount of
ingredients.
3. Timer– monitors the baking time and rising of yeast
B. Cutting, mixing, and blending
1. Grater– used to grate cheese and other ingredients.
2. Wooden spoon - a multi-purpose baking tool use for
creaming or stirring certain ingredients.
3. Kitchen shears– snipping tool, use cutting open food
packaging.
C. Cooking and baking
1. Steamer– use to cook or prepare various foods with steam
heat to cook foods.
2. Baking pans- used in baking in different sizes
and shape.
3. Loaf pan– it is a rectangular in shape and deep walled that is
use to bake a single loaf of bread.
D. Equipment
1. Electric mixer– are one of the essential tools in baking. Although a
small quantity of dough can be mixed by hand, electric mixers are
required in large scale baking such as those in commercial bakery.
2. Refrigerator– is to keep the ingredients/food cold that help to
stay fresh longer.
3. Oven Toaster-heat up faster than conventional oven, used less
energy and are perfect for smaller recipes or batches.
