Therefore, there are three components to a communication: the sender, the message, and the
recipient.
The message is "encoded" by the sender, typically using a combination of verbal and nonverbal
cues. It is sent via some form of transmission (such as speech or writing), and the recipient
"decodes" it.
There could be multiple recipients, and due to the complexity of communication, each one might get
a slightly different message. Two people may interpret the same words and/or body language in
totally different ways. It's also likely that neither of them will grasp it quite as well as the sender did.
