    1m – 1,5 m length paddle

    Possibilities to build one on our own:

    1) Paddle cut from a single piece, from a cupboard


    - A lot of finishings to do afterward
    - Finding a dry cupboard without defects is extremely difficult nowadays
    2) Laminate the paddle on a square profile, then shaped & rounded (PRICE/QUALITY RATIO)
    3) Simplest! - Laminated fin on a round profile – also the most expensive

    ----- therefore exclude these ones

    Material : conifer wood

    Possibility to buy a complete-finish paddle:

    From BioFLX™ (using fiberglass and carbon fibers, renewable hemp)-  that actually sequester CO2 as they
    grow. This material is renewable, biodegradable, and has a much smaller carbon footprint than popular
    alternatives.

    However the BioFLX are very expensive – 144,99 dollars – therefore exclude this possibility

    Possibility to combine the right materials for building one sustainable paddle:

     4 wood sticks ------ 1m length


     Schellenwand ----- for connecting the parts

     Recycled plastic or Acrylic glass plate ---- resilience & long-lasting

    Total budget: 20- 30 euros
