PROPULSION

Main Diesel Engine: MAK.


Type: 9M43C.
9000kW @ 500rpm
We recommend emptying the storage tank as much as
possible before filling it with new oil. Anyway since the
product are miscible and compatible, if a mixture has to be
done, it is possible mix products in the crankcase or in the
service tank; as best practice we strongly recommend to
take a sample of the existing oil and sent it to our Lab.
Please records also the mixing ratio and report it on sample
label when it has to be sent to the laboratory. For topping up,
Diesel Engine (Crankcase &
Cylinders MFO).
a proportion of new oil less than 10% of total charge is the
best practice every 24 running hours. Note that due to the

Although both minerals oils are fully miscible and compatible,


and it is not expected any miscibility issue whenever the
previous oil in the system is in correct conditions; as there is
not oil consumption or small oil consumption in this
