FINAL CALL PROJECT

Book used: English Ahead International Lower Secondary 1 , Unit 6 and 7, pages 68-89.

ACTIVITY 1:
 References: Vocabulary : Jobs, Unit 6 page 69

 Subject and Grade : English , Grade 7

 Learning Objective : To identify and name different jobs.

 Instructions : Grade 7 students are very playful and keen with class
activities that will engage them online. Thus, I have decided to make
a warmer activity on JOBS before reading the text on page 69.

Through KABOOM, students will work in groups of 4.


Students take turn to choose a grid (letter and number) with the
question about jobs. Students identify and name the job being shown
or described. Each correct answer has corresponding points. If a team
fails to get the correct answer ( 30 seconds) , they don’t get the point.
The other team may steal and earn the points. To make the game more
challenging and exciting bombs and extra powers will be integrated in
the game.
KABOOM (bomb) – team points go back to ZERO
DOUBLE THE POINTS – the team points get doubled
TAKE IT ALL – the team gets all the other teams’ points

ACTIVITY 2:

 References: Writing and Speaking : Jobs, Unit 6 page 69, Activity 3

 Subject and Grade : English , Grade 7

 Learning Objective : To write and talk about one’s dream job.

 Instructions : Instead of just a normal question and answer activity, I have made it
more exciting and digitalized. Students will be given the link or
QR code.
Students will be directed to Mentimeter site and will be prompted with
the question “What’s your dream job? Why?”. This activity will also
help students formulate their ideas prior to the speaking
activity.
This will save students from stage fright or shyness. Once all students
have made their contribution, the teacher shows the responses on the
screen and will have a discussion and sharing among students. Each one
will be given the chance to share their dream job and tell the reason
why he or she has chosen the job.

ACTIVITY 3:

 Subject and Grade : English , Grade 7

 Learning Objectives : a. To identify and name animals being described.


b. To listen to Tariq and Mari’s conversation then
answer comprehension questions.

 Instructions : Blooket is one of the online quiz app that students love to play. This
app gives students the autonomy of their learning. It also challenges
learners to make the best decisions to win and score high in
this online quiz.

So, before the Blooket quiz, teacher plays the audio of the Tariq and
Mari’s conversation. Students are encouraged to take notes as they
will be answering comprehension questions related to the audio
listened.

Using their mobile phones, students log in to play.blooket.com and


enter Game ID.

ACTIVITY 4:
 References: Vocabulary Quiz : Travelling Abroad, Unit 7, page 81

 Subject and Grade : English , Grade 7

 Learning Objectives : a. To recall travel vocabulary and correctly answer the


online quiz.

 Instructions : Bamboozle is an online quiz that can be played individual, pairs, or


in teams.

Students work in groups of 3 or 4. Teams take turn to choose a number


from 1-12 or 16. Each number has a question for students to answer.
There’s a time pressure limit for each question. In case a group didn’t
get the correct answer, the points will be deducted to their score or if
another group has given the correct answer then the points will be
added to their score.

I have decided to come up with this activity to further check students’


understanding and learning of the travel vocabularies.
