1st trial:
September 30, 2022
The eggplant seeds have sprouted
after five days. Only 9 of the 20 seeds
that were planted in the allotment
sprouted.

October 5

After five days, there was still no

progress. Other seeds did not
germinate. We just so happened to see
some ants, which may be the reason
why our seeds didn't grow.

After a few days, we saw little

improvement and that the ant
infestation was progressively killing
our plants.

2nd trial (October 21, 2022)

To determine whether there were any

changes between our first experiment
and this one, we set it up in a bigger
space for our second trial. The majority
of the seeds appeared to be
germinating at first, and this
experiment is better than our previous
one in comparison, however both failed
due to ant infestation.
 3rd trial ( November 02, 2022)

In order to increase the likelihood of

seeds germinating, we attempted to
pour numerous seeds per container for
our third try.
The germination process was
successful since 90% of the seeds out
of a total of 100% sprouted;
nevertheless, it didn't work, maybe
because there wasn't enough soil for
the plants.
