PERFORMANCE TASK IN ENGLISH AND SCIENCE

In the world we live in today , there are so many changes that change many aspects of people's lives.
Our lives are like a roller coaster, with each spin bringing changes, not just once, but every day, just like
our way of life, the way we try to communicate with our loved ones, the way we do business, the way
we engage in new lifestyles, and the way our brain works. As a result, these changes had a significant
impact on us and affected how our world's social, political, and cultural functions.

Cities and their communities everywhere are challenged by social-economic. Shifts in a global
environment of escalating change. Shifts in values between generations in a more individualistic society,
increased mobility of people leading to more diversity in communities, changing employment
requirements, and the on-going impact of new technologies in their cumulative impact confront cities
with a broad spectrum of complex challenges. In some cases, social change has gone along with a
weakening of social bonds and trust. Recent events, such as the UK riots, have highlighted this spectrum
of issues, but deeper social changes need to be understood with holistic responses, often innovative and
non-traditional, brought forward. Governments around the world are trying to come to terms with new
technologies, new social movements, and a changing global economy.

One of the most challenging issues faced by organisations using technology to support open and
accountable governance is understanding just how governments work and where the opportunities to
affect change actually lie. Countries that appear to be more prone to infighting and/or civil wars, as well
as to this issue, are most likely led by a person or group that refuses to allow political change or lacks a
clear understanding of how political change is to take place.Instead of that, people should tend to follow
it. They just refuse to recognize it.

As people continue to live in new environments, they then encounter a new culture that they will either
adapt to or just ignore. It’s lifestyles, value systems, beliefs, and practices. It’s the narrative we’re
immersed in every day. It’s how we make sense of the world. It’s our stories, our humor, our collective
experiences, and our understanding of our world. We shouldn't ignore it because, in the first place, we
are the ones who create culture. Because culture is always changing, we should all be aware and
prepared to adapt quickly.
We must all deal with not only the major processes of growth, decay, and breakdown, but also with a
never-ending ferment of adaptation and adjustment in the magnitude and variety of the changes. Thus,
we should all adapt, embrace, and get used to the changes that we encounter because I believe that it is
the only way we can respond to social, political, and cultural change.

One of the biggest threats to human and environmental health is pollution. Pollution takes place when
pollutants contaminate our environment. It is the introduction of harmful materials into the
environment. Further, pollution has become rather essential to learn about the causes, types, and
impact of pollution to deal with this problem.

As we all know, pollution comes in different forms such as water pollution, soil pollution and air
pollution. First, water pollution which the industrial waste, sewage, wastewater, oil spills, and more
contribute to it. Water is very essential to all of us because we need it for drinking, cooking and
agriculture for us to survive. Second, soil pollution which improper waste disposal, industrial activities,
acid rains and more contribute to it. We have it where contaminants and toxic chemicals hamper the
quality of soil. Last, air pollution which means the contamination of air.

It is very hazardous pollution whereas it phisically and chemically alters the air. In general, we should
learn about the causes, types and impacts of pollution for us to deal with this problem. We must all
begin by adopting conservation approaches and sustainable strategies to restore the ecological balance.
We need to control pollution through practice reducing and recycling waste production so as to create a
healthy future for upcoming generations. "When the earth is sick and polluted, human health is
impossible.
