Perspective of Brinker:

As the leader of the senior class, we all boys gathered up in a butt room to smoke. I was
walking besides the crowd of boys and decided to push Finny and make crowd of boys
believe that Finny was the murderer of his roommate. The other boys question Gene about
the accident as if he were being questioned by police. To reduce the tense of the situation,
Gene plays along with the story that he was devious enough to plan Finny's fall until the
moment where the fall actually occurs. I made a joke that would make Gene uncomfortable
and stressed out. I told everyone that Gene planned to off his roommate the entire time in
order to get a big room. Gene tried to change the subject by asking me to go with him to the
Butt Room for a smoke. I was irritated. We continued joking, accusing Gene for trying to kill
Finny. He still might think that none of the boys are actually suspicious of him after the
incident but they are actually. Haha! What an Idiot!
