Senior Back-end Developer MEAN Stack

Role Summary:
As a Senior Back-End Developer MEAN Stack, you will join our engineering team to improve
our users & connected vehicle interfaces as well as the back-end infrastructure. You will
collaborate with a diverse, mission-driven team to scale up our solution around the world.
What you will do at ClearRoad:

You will be developing and scaling services with a growing user base and interactions with our
various partners' APIs (financial, monitoring, vehicle data acquisition...). You will also
communicate system performance and product updates to the team and customers. As part of
your role, you will:

● Deliver new features and resolve issues on our APIs, web app and mobile apps.
● Improve our vehicle data collection system leveraging mobile phone capabilities (GPS,
positioning, BlueTooth,..).
● Improve performance and compatibility of our mobile application with android and
iPhone devices.
● Update, extend and optimize existing API as necessary to support existing and planned
needs of our interfaces.
● Manage and tune infrastructure, making use of managed services wherever appropriate.
● Help guide new application development with external partners focused on real-time
services.
● Write secure, modular, well-tested code.
● Optimizing the cost efficiency of our services.

You have 6+ years of software development experience using multiple program languages and

following skills and competencies:

● Demonstrated angular experience in developing maintainable, scalable, cross-browser

code that is a delight to experience on any device
● Specialized technical knowledge of the MongoDB platform or similar NoSQL
technologies
● Demonstrated experience working on Mobile applications
● Knowledge of Linux administration and shell scripting
● Experience and understanding of container systems such as Docker and modern
deployment frameworks
● Familiarity with AWS services
● Strong commitment to good documentation practices.
● Experience with GIS, Bluetooth, GPS is desirable
● Appetite for innovation in transportation and sustainability is desirable
