Child care is essential for working parents. Physical abuse towards children

- Because many women nowadays
prefer to have their own income,
childcare centers can relieve working
parents by offering a suitable learning
environment for their children to enjoy
a quality childcare experience by
meeting their developmental and
socio-emotional needs
- For the last year, there were a total 217
abuse children cases recorded at
childcare centers nationwide
(Abdullah, 2022).
- The caretakers may have criminal
history or other problems that they
have and abuse the children to release
their tension and stress.

 - Another reason, there is no childcare
option offered, career-driven mothers
must sacrifice their love of their
employment in order to care for their
children. According to a 2018 survey
by the Center for American Progress,
mothers are 40% more likely than
fathers to experience unfavorable
effects of childcare concerns on their
professions (Schochet, 2019). It
demonstrates that moms have always
made decisions based on childcare
concerns rather than economic or
professional aspirations, and they are
forced to give up their jobs if no
daycare options are available.

80% of the babysitters still have not
met the minimum qualification. (cilisos,
2018)
- Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail
said that the reasons that contributed
to the lack of registered childcare
centers is because of the lack of
qualified childcare centers workers.
- About 14.7% of the child care center’s
owners who also work as the
childminder have relevant diplomas
while 30.3% of them do not have any
professional qualifications. (Aziz,
2021)
