It may seem to move slowly, or quickly come and go But the days will never stop, no matter how we may plead or cajole
We can try to slow it, or hasten its pace
But it won't stop for an instant, not even a nanosecond to waste It will keep going, faster and faster, until our days are done And time will keep marching on
Time is an equalizer, no one is exempt
It doesn't care if you're rich, poor, or even president It will keep ticking away, until you're in your grave A reminder of life's preciousness, and how brief our stay
It can bring joy, or sadness, or even a bit of both
But no matter what mood it brings, it's a force we can't control So we must make the most of it, and use it with care For time won't wait for anyone, no matter how hard we stare
Time is a precious commodity, we must never forget
It can never be replaced, no matter how we may try to beg So use it wisely, and seize each day For it's one of life's greatest gifts, and it'll soon slip away.
