1.0 Overview
1.1 Version History
Versions of this document:
1.2 Introduction
The India Country Kit for Autodesk Civil 3D 2021 is developed to make Indian Infrastructure
standards available to users working in the Geospatial and Civil Infrastructure Industry domains
like Roads, Highways, Airports, Railways & Ports. The kit provides web documentation access
from the product to its Customers for Success stories/Case Studies which helps to refer and
improve adaptability in Indian Sub-Continent.
1.4 Installation
This version is a standalone installation and can be done by the msi-file.

2.2 Assemblies
Readymade Assemblies according to Indian standards easily accessible on Tool Pallets. These
also can be modified dynamically according to the user’s convenience. The assemblies
available in this year’s kit are:
We recommend the use of All Codes style for creating assemblies to display all layers as per
standards.

3.0 Reports
3.1 Information on Reports
Following reports are available to be used:
Also, we will learn how to create a Station Offset report for a ROW/Daylight Edge/or any other
line from our Horizontal Alignment.

Use this assembly for widening and bus bays as it can widen itself to the specified width in the
specified chainage.
The parameters are editable, and provisions are made to specify horizontal and vertical
targets in the corridor target parameters.
This assembly can be used for the valley side of a hill road, it has the option turn the crash
barrier on and off wherever required and also has the provision to vary the step-slope of the
edge.
Typical Cross Section- Hill Side carriageway with drain and breast wall
This assembly will cater to the hill side of the hill road, it has an option to switch the use of a
drain and when the cut rises more than 1.5m, it automatically provides a breast wall which also
has a support for benching is the cut is more.
*The Breast wall will only appear when the ditch is used.
This highway has a depressed median with paved shoulders on the inner side, two travel lanes
on each side of the median, and earthen shoulders on the outer side. The total median width
between edges-of-travel-ways is 13 meters.
Use this assembly for providing widening on a section. It has a gap in between which
can be altered to the current width of the road and can target existing feature layers.
This assembly consist of a standard PMGSY carriageway and shoulder, the width and depth a
parametric and can be adjusted as required.

This assembly consists of a two-lane road tunnel with drains and footpath on either side.
This assembly consists of a two-track metro tunnel with space to provide platforms on either
side.

The template has a dynamic scale bar block which can be adjusted to the scale of the drawing.
And has an auto sheet numbering text, will update the date whenever you plot the sheet and
will refer the name of the file in the tittle block

Report type-
The user needs to execute the Horizontal Alignment Report option mentioned in the toolbox
and select the appropriate alignment whose report needs to be exported. The user can save
the report as file ‘.doc’, ‘.xls’, ‘.txt’, ‘.pdf’, and ‘.html’ format.
The user needs to execute the Vertical Alignment Report option mentioned in the
toolbox and select the appropriate alignment whose profile report needs to be exported.
The user can save the report as file ‘.doc’, ‘.xls’, ‘.txt’, ‘.pdf’, and ‘.html’ format.
mentioned in the **Note) and in reference shows violation symbol in the K value column for
respective crest curves. Once the user changes the K value as per the relevant criteria, the
violation symbol doesn’t show, and the profile is dynamically changed in the drawing area.
• Roadway Type
• Lanes
• Shoulder Control
• Attainment Method
**Note
While calculating super-elevation in the lanes option, the number of lanes mentioned in the dropdown
are 1 and 2, while the six laning option has been specified in the XML design criteria file. Once the user
specifies the design criteria file in the super-elevation attainment method option, the dropdown list for
transition length table will showcase two options-
a. 2 to 4 Lanes b. 6 Lanes
Therefore, the number lanes are to be provided from the attainment method option after specifying the
relevant design criteria file.

• Curve Table
A curve table as per Indian Project requirements has been made to ensure seamless generation
of drawings.
• Curve Widening
The criteria for automatic curve widening have been specified in the XML design criteria file and
is dynamically linked to the centerline alignment. The user must create offset alignment, the
offset alignment will only follow the criteria of the centerline alignment. Hence, while providing
widening, the centerline’s design criteria will be followed.
Curve widening can be provided to both inside and outside of the curve depending on the
preference of the designer. The user can choose the relevant number of lanes (1 or 2)
incorporated in the design criteria XML file as show in the figure below. Wheelbase length can
be modified depending on the type of vehicle suitable to pass through that terrain.
