Yes, you are right! Another one? Glyn?

Very good! All your answers are correct.

Alright, now, let us discover the events that

took place in the story of Noah, why and how
he built the ark, and who were with him
throughout the journey.

Probably one of the most beloved stories in

our memories from our childhood is the story
of Noah’s Ark. It is a popular story for
children because it is simple, understandable,
and has a great message. By itself, it is a great
story. It becomes even more exciting and
meaningful when seen as a picture of the
promised Redeemer in the Bible.

CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING
NOAH – GENESIS 6:1-8

The times were so evil that God said He

would destroy man from the earth.
Because Noah loved God and sought to
obey Him, God knew that Noah could be If I were Noah, I would take God’s challenge

and to build an ark (a large ship) to save
those who will trust God. It is because of my faith in Him and for the
sake of saving people who also believed in
Him.
If you were Noah, would you take God’s
challenge of building an ark to save
humanity? Cathlyn, what do you think?

Why?

Fantastic! What a nice idea coming from

Cathlyn over there.

NOAH’S FAMILY – GENESIS 6:9-13

In your home, do you obey your parents? Yes,

Jestoni?

In what way?

Honestly ma’am, I just did what I did back

when everything was normal except preparing
my mask and alcohol.

Yes ma’am!

Definitely ma’am!

The Bible says in Genesis 7:12 and 17 that
it rained actively in forty days. The earth
was flooded 150 days or almost 6 months.

That was good to hear, Kriz.

Thank you ma’am.
AFTER THE FLOOD – GENESIS 8

The flood stopped and the waters began to

recede. After 150 days at sea the ark settled
onto Mount Ararat.

Noah released a couple of different birds to

help him know if it was possible to leave
the ark.

Noah and his children released the animals

from the ark. When they exited the ark they
build an altar to the Lord (Genesis 8:20).

Kaye, do you have a dog?

Do you trust your dog? In my own perspectives, asking forgiveness

from God is a way of accepting the fact that I

Very nice, Kaye. How I wish I also have a

dog like yours.

THE RAINBOW – GENESIS 9:8-17

God promised to Noah that He would never

destroy the earth again with a flood. As a
token of His promise He made a rainbow.

Evony, Do you agree that promises are meant

to be broken? Why or why not?

Yes ma’am!

Oh my God! That was a deep one Evony.

Know that whatever you are experiencing
right now, you’ll get through it.
This is the last one.

THE PICTURE OF THE SAVIOR

In Noah’s day people were called to turn

from their sins and return to God. When
they refuse to enter the ark (a sign of Ma’am!
trusting God’s word), they were destroyed
in the flood .Today we are called to repent
of our sins and accept Christ as our
Saviour.
As for me, obedience means doing what you
How important is it to ask forgiveness from are tasked to do without complaining. Just like
God? Yes, Robert? Noah, we should obey our parents because
most of the time, they are always right.

Very good! We are all sinners and we need to

humble ourselves especially when we talk to
God. We are all equal in His eyes and
nobody has the right to judge anybody except
Him.

F. GENERALIZATION

Now, what does obedience mean in the story

Noah’s Ark? Anyone?

Yes, Korina?

You are on point, Korina.

In simple terms it means hearing the word of
God and acting on it just like what Noah did.
It implies aligning our will to God’s will;
doing what God has asked us to do. The story
also demonstrates both the gravity of God’s
justice and the promise of His salvation.
Every sin we commit grieves God, and His
justice demands judgement for that sin.
