Dylan, I will carry on with my own list in aWord document for Act 1 for the
time being as I have some spare time x

Act Two Props

● Scene One - Welcome to Pleasure Island
○ P38: Geppetto’s Spectacles (Most likely broken in some way at this point
due to the wreck)
■ MAMMA: Look what I found washed up on the seashore…
■ MAMMA HOLDS UP GEPPETTO’S SPECTACLES.
● Scene Two - Shantay, You Bray!
○ P41: “Peroni” barrel & two tankards
■ THERE IS A ‘PERONI’ BARREL WITH A ‘FREE’ SIGN COVERING
THE END OF THE WORD AND TWO TANKARDS
■ Barrel needs to be large enough for Lampwick and Pinocchio to
hide behind

■ Tankard example
○ P41: Two pairs of donkey ears for the cast (should the tails be costume
or prop?)
■ THEY BOTH CLINK TANKARDS, SIT AND DRINK KNOCKING
THEIR HEADS BACK BEHIND THE BARREL. WHEN THEY
FINISH THEIR SWIGS, THEY REVEAL THEY HAVE DONKEY
EARS!
○ P42: Two pairs of donkey tails for the cast
■ LAMPWICK TURNS AROUND AND HIS TAIL ‘ACCIDENTLY’
FALLS OFF!
○ P43: Interesting/different hat for Stromboli, suitable to act as a
comedic disguise
 ■ STROMBOLI CHANGES HIS HAT AND EVERYONE GASPS.
■ Possibly a sombrero?
○ P44: Bottle of wine, Pinot Grigio to be specific - very obviously
labeled so audience can see
■ GATTO RUNS ON WITH A BOTTLE OF WINE.
■ STROMBOLI: I said ‘Pinocchio’, not ‘Pinot Grigio’!
● Scene Three - All At Sea
○ P45: Blue silk, or some other substitute that resembles waves/the
ocean
■ BLUE SILKS STRETCH ACROSS THE STAGE.
○ P45: A boat (or something with the appearance thereof) capable of
appearing as though four people are inside it
■ MAMMA, LAMPWICK, PINOCCHIO AND JIMINY CRICKET
ENTER IN A BOAT
○ P45: A large whale tail, capable of appearing/disappearing during the
scene
■ A GIANT WHALE TAIL APPEARS BEHIND THEM.
● Scene Four - Where There’s a Will There’s a Whale
○ P47: A whale uvula, capable of being suspended from the beams in
the stage ceiling
■ GEPPETTO IS REVEALED INSIDE THE BELLY OF THE WHALE.
ITS UVULA DANGLES.
○ P48: A roll of toilet roll
■ LAMPWICK: [Holding up a loo roll:] We’ve got toilet pepper! I’m on
a roll!
○ P48: Pinocchio’s nose, though capable of growing much greater than
seen before
■ PINOCCHIO’S NOSE GROWS: SFX CUE: NOSE GROW
○ P49: A means through which the audience can be sprayed with water
upon the whale sneezing - stage hands or evil clowns?
■ SFX CUE: AAH-CHOO!
■ THE LIGHTS SNAP TO BLACK. THE AUDIENCE IS SPRAYED
WITH WATER.
● Scene Five - Life’s a Beach
○ P50: Assorted sea-based items: seaweed, life jackets, life rings,
maybe a kid’s armband or two? Flippers too - everything covered in
seaweed
■ MAMMA, GEPPETTO, LAMPWICK, PINOCCHIO AND JIMINY
ENTER COVERED IN SEAWEED/WEARING RUBBER RINGS
ETC
 ○ P51: Tail for Volte (potential comedy in him playing with it whilst
delivering line)
■ VOLPE: We’ve come to make certain this tail has no happy
ending!
● Scene Six
○ Not sure if this is the community sing-along; if so, sheet of lyrics like we
had during Frankenstein would be very nice. Maybe a bit more
nautical-themed
