Noun - a word that refers to a 

person, place, thing, event, substance, or quality.


Pronoun - a word that can replace a noun in a sentence. Examples are 'it', 'she', 'something',
and 'me'.'
Verbs - are the action words in a sentence that describe what the subject is doing. There are
four TYPES of verbs: intransitive, transitive, linking, and passive

Adverbs - is a word used to modify a verb, adjective, or another adverb. An adverb usually
modifies by telling how, when, where, why, under what conditions, or to what degree. An adverb
is often formed by adding -ly to an adjective.
Adjectives - a word or phrase naming an attribute, added to or grammatically related to a noun to
modify or describe it.
Preposition - a word governing, and usually preceding, a noun or pronoun and expressing a relation
to another word or element in the clause, as in “the man on the platform,” “she arrived after dinner,”
“what did you do it for?
Conjunction - is a part of speech that connects words, phrases, or clauses that are called the
conjuncts of the conjunctions. That definition may overlap with that of other parts of speech and
so what constitutes a "conjunction" must be defined for each language.
