When the electrical disconnect switch is in the ON position, power transfers from the main power circuit breaker to the parking brake fuse. Parking
brake fuse (9) transfers power to the gate of park brake relay (17).

When the main power relay is energized, power transfers from contact "87" of the relay to the engine lamps and gauges fuse and to the power on
fuse. Power transfers from engine lamps/gauges fuse (8) to parking brake indicator (12). Power transfers from power on fuse (5) to drive selector
switch (25).

When the electrical controls have been enabled, power transfers from contact "87" of power on relay (3) to the following components of the propel
circuit:

Hydraulic gear fuse (7)

Auto mode fuse (6)

Manual mode fuse (4)

Output stages fuse (1)

Park brake switch (10)

Shift switch (11)

Maneuver mode switch (23)

Propel lever (22)

Output stages fuse (1) supplies electrical power to the following locations:

Terminal "1" and terminal "27" of ECM "RC2" (19)

Terminal "1" and terminal "27" of ECM "RC4" (21)

ECM "RC2" (19) and ECM "RC4" (21) are both grounded at terminal "2" and terminal "28".

ECM "RC2" (19) and ECM "RC4" (21) work with each other to monitor the signals from input devices on the machine. The ECMs use these signals
in order to determine current machine operating conditions. System software compares the gathered input to information which is stored in the
ECM memory. The software evaluates the current conditions and generates output signals in order to control the propel system within set
parameters.

The ECMs receive input signals from the following types of devices: switch input devices, current input devices, voltage input devices, and
frequency input devices. The ECMs can generate switch output signals and proportional output signals. The ECMs communicate through the CAN.

Drive selector switch (25) has a manual contact and an automatic contact. Manual mode fuse (4) distributes power to the manual contact of the
switch. Auto mode fuse (6) distributes power to the automatic contact of the switch.

When drive selector switch (25) is in the MANUAL position, power transfers to manual mode indicator (30) and to terminal "37" of ECM"RC4" (21).

When drive selector switch (25) is in the AUTOMATIC position, power transfers to contact "86" of auto mode relay (32). When the auto mode relay
is energized, power transfers to the following locations:

Auto mode indicator (28)

Front wheel assist fuse (31)

Terminal "48" of ECM "RC4" (21)

ECM "RC4" (21) monitors the position of parking brake switch (10) at terminal "23". When the parking brake switch is in the ON position, this
terminal is open. In this situation, the machine disables the propel system. If the parking brake switch is moved into the ON position while the
machine is moving, the ECM ramps the propel system down before the parking brake is engaged.

When parking brake switch (10) is in the OFF position, ECM "RC4" (21) receives an input signal at terminal "45". In this situation, the ECM checks
the position of the propel lever.

If propel lever (22) is in the NEUTRAL position, ECM "RC2" (19) generates an output signal from terminal "31". This signal is sent to the coil of park
brake relay (17). This signal causes the relay to transfer power from park brake fuse (9) to park brake solenoid (18).

When ECM "RC4" (21) reads an input signal at terminal "37", the ECM initiates the manual drive logic. Under these conditions, the machine can be
operated in any gear and in either direction. The ECM uses the input signal from propel lever (22) in order to determine the target machine speed
and direction.

When ECM "RC4" (21) reads an input signal at terminal "48", the ECM initiates the automatic drive logic. Under these conditions, the machine can
only be operated in the pave speed range and can only be operated in the forward direction. The ECM uses the input signal from automatic speed
control potentiometer (26).

ECM "RC4" (21) monitors inputs from propel lever (22) in order to determine the desired direction of travel.

If propel lever (22) is in the forward range, the forward switch will be closed and a signal will be transmitted to terminal "10" of ECM "RC4" (21).

If propel lever (22) is in the reverse range, the reverse switch will be closed and a signal will be transmitted to terminal "11" of ECM "RC4" (21). At
the same time, the reverse switch will transfer power from the power on relay to energize backup alarm (35).

The electronic control system monitors inputs from the following components in order to determine the desired machine speed:

Shift switch (11)

Automatic speed control potentiometer (26)

Propel lever (22)

Decelerator sensor (29)

Engine speed

Steering sensor (34)

Parking brake switch (10)

Each position of shift switch (11) carries a different speed and steering map. If the machine is operating in manual drive, the position of the propel
lever is used to determine a scaling factor for the machine speed. If the machine is operating in automatic drive, the position of automatic speed
control potentiometer (26) provides the speed scaling factor.

If the machine is equipped with a decelerator pedal, the output of decelerator sensor (29) is mapped to a desired speed multiplication factor. The
scaling factor ranges between zero and 100 percent. The scaling factor is zero percent when the decelerator pedal is fully depressed and 100
percent when the decelerator pedal is not actuated. When the scaling factor is zero percent, the machine will not move, regardless of the position
of the other input components. When the scaling factor is 100 percent, the decelerator pedal does not limit the maximum machine speed.

Once the desired speed and direction have been determined, ECM "RC4" (21) generates an output signal to the appropriate pump control
solenoids. Left reverse solenoid (39) and left forward solenoid (38) control the operation of the left propel pump. Right reverse solenoid (37) and
right forward solenoid (36) control the operation of the right propel pump.

The machine is equipped with two speed propel motors. The hydraulic motors provide a paving speed range and a travel speed range.

ECM "RC4" (21) monitors the position of shift switch (11) at terminal "12". When the ECM determines that the shift switch is in the TRAVEL
position, the ECM generates an output signal from terminal "29" to the coil of travel speed relay (15). When the coil is energized, power transfers
from hydraulic gear fuse (7) to travel solenoid (42). When the travel solenoid is energized, the propel motors operate in the travel speed range.

Steering sensor (34) is connected to the hydraulic steering cylinder. The sensor provides an input signal to terminal "34" of ECM "RC4" (21).

The machine electronic control system monitors the input signal from steering sensor (34) in order to determine the desired turn radius. The
machine electronic control system does not use a machine speed input as a factor in the determination of the turn radius.

When the electronic control system detects that steering sensor (34) is in the STRAIGHT TRAVEL position, the system operates the rear wheels at
the same speed. When the operator moves the steering wheel in either direction, the system detects the change at the steering sensor. The
system then calculates the speed differential which the wheels must maintain in order to sustain the desired machine speed through the turn. The
system then modifies the output signals which are sent to the pump control solenoids on the propel pumps.

When the machine is operating in PAVE mode and maneuver mode switch (23) is in ON position, the machine operates in the MANEUVER mode.
In this case, the machine electronic control system uses a special maneuver steering map. In this mode, the machine has a tighter turning radius.

When the drive selector switch is in the AUTOMATIC position, the auto mode relay transfers power (3) to contact "30" of front wheel assist relay
(6). When the machine is operating in PAVE mode, the travel speed relay transfers power (2) to the coil of the front wheel assist relay. Under these
conditions, the front wheel assist relay is energized and transfers power to front wheel assist switch (11).

When front wheel assist switch (11) is in the ON position, the switch transfers power from the front wheel assist relay (6) to contact "1" of the front
wheel assist timer (7). At the same time, the switch transfers power to front wheel assist indicator (12).

Front wheel assist timer (7) controls the following components:

Bypass solenoid (8)

Front wheel assist solenoid (9)

Clutch solenoid (10)

Front wheel assist timer (7) receives power from auto mode fuse (1). When the timer is activated, the module sends an output signal from contact
"4" in order to energize bypass solenoid (8) and the front wheel assist solenoid (9). When the bypass solenoid is energized, the front wheel assist
motors rotate.

After a seven second delay, front wheel assist timer (7) energizes clutch solenoid (10). When the clutch solenoid is energized, the front wheel
assist motors engage the front wheels. The short delay allows the front wheel assist motors to achieve full speed prior to engaging the wheels.

When the front wheel assist system is de activated, front wheel assist timer (7) immediately de energizes clutch solenoid (10). After a seven
second delay, the timer de energizes bypass solenoid (8) and front wheel assist solenoid (9). The short delay allows the clutch to disengage the
wheels from the motors before the front wheel assist motors come to a stop.
