RYAN’S HIGH SCHOOL DRIVEWAY - DAY

RYAN gets out of his mother’s car and gets his school bag
out of the back seat.

RYAN
¡Bye mom!

LINDA (RYAN’S MOTHER)

Have a nice day sweetheart.

Ryan walks away into his schools entre door.

EXT. RYAN’S HIGH SCHOOL OUTSIDE HALLWAY - DAY

Ryan walks up to his friends and pats one of his friends

back.

BILL
Hey Ryan, how you doing?

RYAN
Good, how about you man?

BILL
Same old same old.

RYAN (CHUCKLES)
That’s great man.

Ryan goes over to his other friend. Nervously blushing and

with a big smile.

RYAN
¡Good morning Erin!

Erin with a warm calm smile.

ERIN
¡Good morning Ryan!

Both taking a minute into staring at each other.

BILL
Um, you guy’s ok?

RYAN
Oh, yeah.

ERIN
Definitely

Ryan and Erin chuckled nervously.

BILL
So anyways, have you guy’s done the
science project yet?

RYAN
Nope.

BILL
How about you Erin?

ERIN
Of course, I did. ¿What? ¿You guys
reall think I just do nothing over
the weekends?

BILL AND RYAN

Pretty much, yeah.

ERIN
Well anyways, yes I did do the
project, but it wasn’t easy at all.

BILL
Yeah... I also haven’t done it.
Recently I haven’t been able to
concentrate at all over the
weekend. I kept getting tired too.

RYAN
You should check out a doctor for
that Bill.

BILL
Yeah I should.

The bell rings.

ERIN
Well, that’s the bell, gotta get to
math class before Mrs. Katz writes
me up for being late again.
Anyways, See ya Bill.

BILL
See ya.

ERIN (BLUSHING)
¡See ya later Ryan!

RYAN (BLUSHING)
¡See ya!

BILL
Dude, you’re so into her.

RYAN
¿What? No

BILL
Whatever you say Ryan.

RYAN
I gotta get to class.

Ryan turns and fast walks to his next class.

BILL
We’ll see ya, Rya-

¿Where’d he go? Oh well.

Bill shrugs and goes to his next class also.

CUT TO:

INT. RYAN’S HISTORY CLASSROOM - DAY

Ryan gets to his classroom walks over to his seat and sits
down.

MR. ALINSKY
So, ¿where did we left off? that’s
right, page 55.

Ryan stares off into the window. Looking outside the

window, he sees a slight shadow. He opens his eyes more to
try and see what it is.

MR. ALINSKY (INTERRUPTING)

¡Ryan! ¿Could you read the next
sentence?

RYAN
¿Huh?

MR. ALINSKY
¿Could you read the next sentence?

RYAN
Oh, yeah.

Ryan stares one last time before he starts reading.

QUICK CUT:

EXT. RYAN’S HIGH SCHOOL OUTSIDE HALLWAY - DAY

RYAN
I swear you guys, I saw something.

ERIN
¿Maybe it was an animal?

BILL
Or maybe it was a ghost...

ERIN
Oh come on, ¿A ghost?

BILL
Yeah, I heard this story from Mr.
Jenkins that there’s been a
haunting in this school.

ERIN
¿Mr. Jenkins? The same teacher that
told us last year that his cat was
possessed.

RYAN
And the same teacher that told us
his car could talk.

BILL
Yeah, Mr. Jenkins. But this time he
actullly sounded convincing and he
had evidence.

ERIN
¿Evidence of what?

BILL
¡Of a ghost!

RYAN
¿Of a ghost? ¿You’re kidding me,
right?

BILL
Dude, I swear im not, in the video
it looked so real.

ERIN
¿He’s got video evidence?

BILL
¡Yeah!

RYAN
Well, come to think of it, last
week i overheard a girl say that
she also say a shadowy silhouette.

BILL
See, I told you, there’s recently
been sightings of ghosts in this
school. In fact, I got a buddy
named Dwayne that almost caught a
ghost on his phone.

RYAN
¿How do you know all this and
haven’t told us about it? ¿And
who’s Dwayne?

BILL
I’m a busy guy, I can’t tell you
guys all the stuff that happens in
my life.

ERIN
Whatever.

BILL
Anyways, if you want, I could
introduce you guys to Dwayne and he
could explain everything, even the
story.

ERIN
¿What story?

BILL
¡The story about the ghost!

RYAN
I don’t know Bill.

BILL
Oh come on, he’s a fun guy.

ERIN
Honestly, I have nothing better to
do.

BILL
See, Erin is up to meet him.

ERIN
Come on Ryan, maybe he has some
funny wacky story to tell.

BILL (SMIRKING)
¡Come on!

RYAN (SMILINGLY)
¡All right!

¡Yes!

Smiling, Ryan, Erin and Bill walk together to go and find

Dwayne.
