One day, while I was walking in the park, I saw a dog run towards me, I was so

nervous that he could bite me that’s why I run as fast as I can while the dog is
chasing me around the park.

NOSTRILS
-The air you breathe in is inhaled through the nose , where it is filtered through
the two openings called the Nostrils. Coarse hair that are coated with mucus from
glands in the nostrils traps large dust and dirt particles and it Provides a sense of
smell.

NASAL CAVITY
-After the air is inhaled thru the nostrils, The air will pass in Nasal Cavity, This
Warms and moistens the air so it can move comfortably into your respiratory
system. Sometimes, these trapped particles or dirt may irritate our nasal cavities
and cause us to sneeze.

PHARYNX
-The warmed, moistened, and filtered air moves through a muscular tube in your
upper throat called Pharynx. The Pharynx is a common passageways for both
food and air. But it leads to two passageways – the Esophagus and the Trachea.
The Esophagus leads to the digestive system, while the Trachea leads to the
respiratory system.
Fun Fact: The Presence of the pharynx makes it possible to breathe on the mouth.

LARYNX
-After that, the air will then pass through in the larynx or The voice box. The
Epiglottis is a thin piece of cartilage that closes when food is swallowed and open
during breathing.
TRACHEA
-The Trachea or windpipe are incomplete rings of cartilage where smooth passage
of air happens as air goes to the left and right side of the lungs. Our trachea's
main function is to carry air in and out of your lungs. Because it's a stiff, flexible
tube, it provides a reliable pathway for oxygen to enter your body.

BRONCHI
- The way that leads the air in left or right lungs are called the left and right
Brochi. The tertiary Bronchi gives rise to terminal Bronchi that eventually leads to
the respiratory Bronchioles.

BRONCHIOLES
-The air continue to divide again and again, becoming narrower each time, until
they appear like tiny-sized tubes called Bronchioles.  The Bronchioles Are tiny
branch of air tubes in the lungs, that carry air to small sacs in your lungs called
Alveoli.

ALVEOLI
- Alveoli where your body perform the body gas exchange, it is a gateways for
oxygen to enter the body, this serve as the site of respiration in the lungs where
the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide takes place.
Fun Fact: It is estimated that there are 300 to 500 million alveoli in the adult
lungs.
LUNG MODEL
The Lungs is one of a pair of organs in the chest that supplies the body with
oxygen, and removes carbon dioxide from the body. Our left and right lungs
aren’t exactly the same. The lung on the left side of your body is divided into two
lobes while the lung on your right side is divided into three. The left lung is also
slightly smaller, allowing room for your heart.
