Education is about the maturity of students so that they can develop their talents, potential, and skills in life.

Therefore,
education is designed to provide understanding and can improve student achievement. Education can also be a
determinant of the value and quality of an individual's life. Seeing the role of education in life, it has a good point that
education in this country can be further developed to the fullest and provide various benefits to each individual. As stated
in Law No. 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System, Article 3, the ultimate goal of (national) education is
essentially to improve the quality of human resources (HR). To achieve these educational goals, a quality education and a
learning process are needed.

Blended learning is one of the most modern methods of learning, helping to solve the knowledge explosion problem, the
growing demand for education, and the problem of overcrowded lectures if used in distance learning, increasing
acceptance opportunities in education, allowing the learner to study at his or her preferred time and place, providing
updated information to meet the needs of learners, and providing simulations, animations, practical events, and exercises
(Al-Shunnaq and Bani Domi, 2010).

Blended learning is the new mode of education in which students learn through electronic and online media and
through the distribution of modules. With the use of technology, students can somehow experience real face-to-face,
classroom setting learning as technology is the most useful tool in today’s era. According to Spence & Haughey (2005),
students can take photos or record videos on school activities for inclusion in projects and assignments, which may help
them to manage their time.

Although there are benefits of blended learning, there are still limitations with regard to on-the-job training
observation, demonstration, and laboratory exercises. There are also students who are computer illiterate and cannot
perform well through online learning, as well as students who have limited or no access to the internet. Blended learning is
difficult for both students and instructors because they must be computer literate and have easy access to the internet.
