OLMCM
High School Department
S.Y. 2022-2023

Sportsfest
OVERVIEW
‘Sport’ means all forms of physical activity. This program is a festival of sports that will
consist of the usual games we had before with the addition of the participation of teachers,
martial arts, arnis and more if there are other suggestions that would be brought up.

GOALS
● Celebrate the varied sports of the students.
● Showcase the talents given to us.
● Make new friends and have fun.

SPECIFICATIONS
This will be held in the OLMCM gymnasium and the audience will be seated on the benches.
Social distancing shall still be maintained. Posters can be made by the teams of members
that are mixed of all the grade levels of the high school department.

MILESTONES
● A smooth program that is well-timed to fit the schedule of the day.
● No injuries.

Friendship day
OVERVIEW
Friendship is a relationship of mutual affection between people. This program is a get
together of all grade levels in the high school building creating new bonds through games of
teamwork.

GOALS
● To have unity in the high school department.
● Make new friends in other grade levels.

SPECIFICATIONS
This will be held in the OLMCM gymnasium. Social distancing shall still be maintained. The
games will be provided by the CLC members with the suggestions of the students.

MILESTONES
● A smooth program that is well-timed to fit the schedule of the day.
● No injuries.
Fieldtrip
OVERVIEW
Field trips will allow the students to enjoy activities outside the school premises. It can
provide an educational experience for everyone through the activities, similar to a family
road trip.

GOALS
● Create fun memories with schoolmates through travel.
● Give everyone the opportunity to experience different activities from outside Baguio
City.

SPECIFICATIONS
If approved, the CLC plans to have a suggestion box where the learners can give the school
ideas of where to travel. Field trips will utilize the OLMCM school bus.

MILESTONES
● A proper and orderly trip where no accidents will happen.
● Students behave in a respectful manner when visiting the various destinations.

Earth Ranger’s Camping

OVERVIEW
Camping, a recreational activity in which participants take up temporary residence in the
outdoors. In this activity, the groups will be a mix of all grade levels. There will be cheers,
dances, and games. There will be adjustments made due to the restrictions of the pandemic.

GOALS
● Create bonds with older or younger members of the Carmelian community.
● Be more in touch with nature.

SPECIFICATIONS
This will be held in the OLMCM Sanctuary located in Longlong, Benguet. It will be an
overnight stay and the tents are to be set up around the area. The performances will happen
at night and the next day, the students are to wake up early. Every late or offence a student
will commit, there will be a corresponding demerit.

MILESTONES
● To be a recreational activity.
● To instil discipline in the learners.
Open house
OVERVIEW
This is an event where each class will open their doors for families and other students. Every
classroom will be decorated differently to provide various experiences for everyone that
should attend.

GOALS
● For learners to open up their creativity in order to make their classroom fun and
unique.
● Open House can be used as a fun team-building exercise for classmates to bond
over.

SPECIFICATIONS
Each class will vote on what activity they should do for the open house. For example, cafe,
concert, or haunted house. They must decorate their classroom to fit the theme they chose.

MILESTONES
● No problems or drama to occur between everyone. It should be a friendly competition
● Little to no spending to be done by the students.

Prom/Tribute
OVERVIEW
A prom or tribute is a formal dance participated by the students of a high school department.
With the suggested theme of ‘vintage,’ students will dress formally and dance to the slow
music. This is also to commemorate the graduating grade levels of junior high and senior
high namely grades 10 and 12.

GOALS
● To enjoy the last moments the graduating classes have together.
● To mark the conclusion of high school and the beginning of adulthood for students.

SPECIFICATIONS
This will be held in the OLMCM gymnasium and the decorations will be managed by the
CLC members and the grades 9 and 11 to continue a tradition of passing down the
responsibilities from one generation to another.

MILESTONES
● That students will participate well and would make memorable moments together.
● Everyone would leave happy.

Raprockan
OVERVIEW
Raprockan, or better known as a talent show, is an event where students showcase their
different skills and abilities. For example, dancing, singing, impromptu speech, and trivia.
Students get to show both their ‘academic’ and artistic talents.

GOALS
● The aim is for students to showcase their unique abilities through friendly
competition.
● A fun experience to be viewed by teachers and students to see what Carmelians can
do.

SPECIFICATIONS
Students from each class will be chosen to participate in the various events. Teachers and
students do their best to cooperate and encourage one another.

MILESTONES
● Drama-free and friendly competing between everyone.
● Boost confidence and a chance for the participants to showcase what they can do.

Showcase from clubs

OVERVIEW
A club is an organization of people with a common purpose or interest, who meet regularly
and take part in shared activities. For this program, each club will get to show what they
have learned in their chosen clubs. We have never had this program before but it would be
nice to show what the different clubs were up to in their meetings.

No uniform day
OVERVIEW:
No uniform day is a day students will not wear their uniforms. Instead, they will wear civilian
clothes.
GOALS:
- Students are advised to wear appropriate clothes.
- Don’t wear something revealing.

Decorations
OVERVIEW
Class officers to be assigned to decorate their classroom’s bulletin boards.

GOALS
● For students to find creative ways to make their classroom look cool.

Christmas party
OVERVIEW
To get everyone even more in the holiday spirit, a Christmas party will be held in either the
gym or individual classrooms.

GOALS:
● Have fun with everyone before Christmas comes.
● Have a break from all requirements.

SPECIFICATIONS
Aside from eating and chatting with everyone, we introduce, Secret Letters and Gift
Exchange. Secret Letters is a chance for the students to anonymously say what they want to
say to people of their choice. The CLC will manage this and handle it with care. Gift
exchange is self-explantory, wherein through ballot-picking, students will have to give a
present to their chosen ballot.

OVERVIEW:
Spelling bee is where students will spell something. This program is held at the gym. This is
where students will test their knowledge and more likely to help them grow their knowledge.
GOALS:
- Everyone will participate

LGBTQIA+ Solidarity
OVERVIEW
In lieu of the recent DepEd policy on Gender Responsive Behaviour, I want to make OLMCM
more friendly towards LGBTQIA+ students and make them feel more comfortable about it.

GOALS
● For the representation and solidarity of LGBTQIA+ students.
● To remove discrimination and instead give a warm welcome to everyone.
