Guide For Reading Coordinators' and School Presentations
Guide For Reading Coordinators' and School Presentations
For our last workshops, on Dec 1-2, we would like to ask each school to make a short
presentation to the group. The goal of this presentation is to report back to the group on how
you have applied what was learned in the teacher training workshops and also how the donated
resources (big books, poetry tarps, leveled books) have affected teaching and learning in your
schools.
Below you will find some guidelines for what to include in your 5-10 minute presentation. This is
just a guide, kindly feel free to include any other important information in your presentation.
Kindly make sure that all the teachers in your school are able to give you input for the
presentation.
You and your teachers are free to present in any way. You may decide how many teachers will
present.
Report on the impact of the workshops on the teaching practice of teachers (both the zoom and
the face to face teacher training workshops).
1. How did the teachers apply the different strategies from the workshops?
2. Did teachers focus on one or two strategies or did they implement all the strategies?
3. How did the teacher training workshops help develop the teachers’ skills in teaching
reading?
4. Where or what do your teachers excel in?
5. What are some unexpected effects of the teacher training on your teachers and your
school community?
6. What are some changes you have noticed about your teaching practice?
