GENDER EQUALITY

Gender equality is defined by human rights careers as the unrestricted pursuit of any occupation,
way of life, or talent by people of any gender. In addition to being a fundamental human right,
gender equality is also a foundation for a world that is stable, affluent, and sustainable. Inequality
based on gender is unavoidable in the modern world and affects everyone. It is true that we are
naturally born with two distinct genders: male and female, or man and woman. The distinct
genders are viewed by the society as a source of limitation. Whereas, men are better suited
genetically to carry out hard labor. The notion that women cant compete or womens dont have
the chance to win with males in every area is obviously false. Most don't realize that while there
are some things that men can do and women can't, there are also many things that women can
do that men can't, with giving birth being the best example.

Gender equality and the empowerment of all women are targets for the Sustainable
Development Goals, which were agreed by UN Member States in 2015. The timeframe for
achieving these goals is 2030. With only eight years left to achieve it, the globe is currently off
course. Even well-established liberties and protections are under danger due to a growing
pushback against women's rights throughout the world.

What can we do to fix these issues?

For Women,

• Girls can continue their education, support their female classmates in doing the same, and
fight for their right to access women's reproductive health care. (United Nations: Gender
Equality and Women’s Empowerment, 2022)
• Women can address implicit biases and unconscious connections that create an
unintended and frequently invisible obstacle to equal opportunity. (United Nations:
Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment, 2022)

For Men,
• You may support women and girls in achieving gender equality and embracing healthy,
respectful relationships. (United Nations: Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment,
2022)
• You can support educational initiatives to end harmful laws that restrict the rights of
women and girls and keep them from realizing their full potential as well as campaigns to
end cultural practices. (United Nations: Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment,
2022)

As Emma Watson said,

“It is time that we all see gender as a spectrum instead of two sets of opposing ideals.”

― Emma Watson

It is as simple as this: after every one of these obstacles is addressed, each home will recognize
the importance of a woman, and our nation will attain gender equality. We all have the power to
change the world; let us work together as one, not as individual.
