Primary Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Customer service is Fiddleheads primary focus in providing food, goods and services to its
customers. It is the goal of the staff that all customers are treated in a respectful and
courteous manner, paying close attention to their individual needs.
Greet customers and be open and ready to assist customers, fielding their questions,
concerns and requests.
Assist customers in all departments in a prompt, friendly, courteous manner.
Answer and resolve phone inquiries as needed
Resolve customer complaints in a fair and tactful manner.
Create avenues for communication and achieve results by promoting teamwork and
working collaboratively.
Provide training to other staff to support the needs of the department during all
operating hours
The Wellness Department provides a wide range of products with an emphasis on high-
quality, organic items while maintaining a broad selection of products chosen to satisfy our
broad owner base, offering the best selection and value possible.
Work with the Center Store Manager to achieve long and short term goals for
department sales, margin, labor expense and net profit.
Work with the Center Store Manager to decide on product selection to meet
customer, seasonal and holiday demand

Order product in quantities adequate to maintain fully stocked sets, while keeping
inventory low enough to ensure optimal freshness, and to keep backstock to a
minimum. Assist buyers with this task.
Maintain effective working relations with suppliers and representatives
Ensure that accurate invoicing, pricing, credits and returns, coding and invoice
routing is executed on all received product.
Maintain accurate and complete department signage.
Set up special displays and promotions.
Ensure proper storage and rotation of all product.
Ensure that the department is kept attractive and clean
Participate in inventory counts
Perform other duties as assigned.
Follow proper lifting and handling procedures to ensure personal health and safety.
Open boxes carefully and safely so as not to cut the products or yourself.
Check in orders and verify counts and that product is in date and undamaged. Note
any discrepancies or damages on the invoice so a credit can be pursued.
Efficiently stock products from storage or delivery areas to sales floor.
Place merchandise on shelves or in refrigerated cases, checking shelf tags to ensure
that products are shelved precisely in the correct location, with labels facing out and
product dated for freshness.
Rotate product currently on display to the front, and stock new product behind to
maintain proper product rotation.
Remove and record damaged, out-of-date, and spoiled products. Face shelves,
making product readily available and easily identifiable to customers.
Maintain clear pathways in aisles when stocking while the store is open.
For overstock, combine partial cases into single, well-labeled cases, and return all
product to designated backstock areas.
Stack and/or break down boxes while stocking. Recycle empty boxes.
Take initiative to stay productive throughout the shift
Communication:
Communicate respectfully, openly and honestly.
Listen attentively to others, ask questions, and remain open to other viewpoints.
Practice empathic listening skills.
