CHAPTER IV

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION OF THE STUDY

Introduction

This chapter presents and discusses about the observations

about water, our findings about water dispensers, and the

result of the conducted experiment. This chapter is also

about how water dispensers work. It discusses the analysis

of data about our project.

PROBLEMS:

A. What will happen to the water in the water dispenser in

five days?

B. What will happen if water is not changed?

Findings

Our water dispenser keeps the water fresh inside so you

can drink it anytime you want because it keeps the water

fresh for many days. It is best to keep the water dispenser

in a cool, dry place to avoid it from being warm.

IF the water in the water dispenser is kept for 5 days THEN

this will happen (no experiment is conducted):

a. the freshness of water in 5 days

NUMBER OF DAYS RESULTS

DAY 4 WATER IS HOT DUE TO
EXPOSURE
DAY 5 WATER NEEDS TO BE
CHANGED

ANALYSIS OF DATA

In the table above, in day one, water is still fresh

because it is not yet moved or drank. In day two, water is a

bit hot or warm due to room temperature. It is warm because

the weather is hot. If the water is warm, we recommend to

put it in the fridge. In day three, the water is warmer than

yesterday. The weather may be hotter that is why the water

became warmer. In day four, the water is hot. The weather

might be the same as yesterday. The water became hot due to

exposure. In day five, the water needs to be changed because

it is not moved for four days. It is hot and it is not safe

because there might be dirt particles. So if you see this to

your water dispenser, change. Though it keeps water fresh,

you should still store it into a cool, dry place. If the

water dispenser is exposed to the sun then the water will be

hot. It will become hotter and hotter until the water is not
fresh. It is best to not drink it for it is not safe

anymore. Leaving a case of water bottles under the sun will

not cause dangerous chemicals to break down in the water,

although heat can affect the integrity of the bottle/ water

dispenser and change the taste of the water. The safety of

water in water dispensers that have been left in the sun or

in a hot car varies from report to report. However, bottled

water can have small amounts of toxins, levels acceptable

for human consumption, and still be well with the FDA

standards. Same with water dispensers.

C. the water in the dispenser is not changed.

If the water is not changed then it is not safe to drink it

anymore. Change the water if it is not used for so long. And

you can also clean the jar. If you get water from it and the

water is not completely gone then there is no need to change

the water.

TRIALS

FIRST

Our researchers tried to use plastic jar but unfortunately

it did not work because the jar was not airtight as the

glass jar we used in the third trial.

SECOND
In the second trial, the pringles can our researchers used

was too tall and slim, so it was not balanced. Our

researchers attached the glass jar to our pringles can and

it fell. It was also a fail.

THIRD

In the last trial, our researchers used a perfectly

proportioned pringles can that was not too long or too slim,

so then we attached the glass jar and it stood up well.
