Activity Type Introduction


Reading, writing, This communicative past tense review activity helps students
listening and speaking practice forming and answering conversation questions in the past
activity, pair work simple, past continuous, past perfect simple, and past perfect
continuous tense.

Focus Procedure
Past tenses: past simple,
Divide the class into two equal groups (A and B).

Give each student a corresponding worksheet.

Next, students pair up with a member of the other group.

Students then take it in turns to ask and answer the past tense
conversation questions with their partner.

Remind the students to answer their partner's questions in the


same tense in which it was asked. Also, encourage the students
to give as much information as they can.

Afterwards, students share what they found out about their


partner with the class.
