OPERATIONAL AND VERIFICATION METHOD OF BROOKFIELD VISCOMETER

1. Press the power switch

2. Remove the guard leg by loosening screw
3. Press the spindle key
4. The display will show the current spindle code
5. Press up or down arrow key to select spindle key
Note: select spindle code s62, s62,s63 or s64
6. Press the select spindle key
7. Selection speed rpm, press either up or down arrow key for change the seed
required
8. Press the motor on /off key to stop the spindle rotation of viscometer. The
viscometer will set to cp 0.0 %
9. Attach the spindle to the pointer shaft of the viscometer
10. Ensure that the cp and percentage (%) is 0.0 before measuring is started
Note: if the cp or percentage is not zero, adjust the position of the spindle
11. Press the motor key to turn on the motor
12. Allow the viscosity reading to stabilizer.

FOR ESD CHEMICAL

1. Put a beaker on weighing scale

2. Tare the weighing scale
3. Weigh 167g of esd inside the beaker
4. Add water until the weight is 250g

From this, I had learnt that each chemical have different range of viscosity. To find the
viscosity, different spindle is used with different speed of rotation (rpm).
