I. COURSE CODE : PE 3

II. COURSE TITLE : INDIVIDUAL AND DUAL SPORTS

III. COURSE RATIONALE : The study of Individual and Dual Sports has two aspects: knowledge of the basic skills and
knowledge of the rules of the different sports. This seeks to present an integral approach to the
study of individual and dual sports by using drills, exercises and other activities which may
discover, enhance and develop the physical education students’ sports skills.

IV. COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course is a worthwhile, socially constructive leisure experience that provides immediate
and inherent satisfaction to the individual who was voluntary participated in the activity. It is also
pleasurable activity without an end; free, and was an immediate appeal to the person not impelled
by delayed reward. It is carried for won and as form of expressed of a person.

V. COURSE CREDIT : 2 unit Pre-requisite:PE2 -Rhythmic Activities

VI. COURSE OBJECTIVES : At the end of the course, the students are able to:
1. understand its history and strategies.
2.analyze the different movement and perform them with degree accuracy and precision.
3. show environment and satisfaction in playing the different events.
4. develop attitude off initiative, fearlessness, self-confidence and presence of mind.
5. play a wide variety of games well according to the rules of the game.
6. correct common defects against standards set of performance.
7. keep a record of one’s achievement and self-appraisal.
VII. COURSE REQUIREMENTS: Written Exam, Actual Performance, PE 2 Equipment, Research Paper, Compilation, and
Physical Education Uniform
