after choose the proper satellite
Click the button ‘Load Satellite’ (It will take 10 ~ 15 seconds to get loading / restarting done)
System will restart and go onto initializing step
• Step 4
Confirm that current satellite has been uploaded
Select the menu ‘Tracking Info of Current Satellite’ in order to see the selected one info
The status of antenna will be in searching -> tracking after initialization
• Step 5
In setup or tracking more (see Blue circle in the box ‘Signal Level’)
Select the menu ‘Position [GPS, Heading, Bow]…’
Click the button ‘Save Satellite’, then see the number indicates the current offset is calculated
• Step 6

Quality of RX signal
“rx snr” level depends on up and down setting by
modem.
Level of TX signal
“tx power”
“tx cw on / tx cw off”
To control TX test carrier becomes On/Off.
Level is selected by modem’s option file
[SYSTEM_TRAY]
The display interval time is set up by

service_monitor_port = 9001 * Modem must be set up by mobile type and
Enable mode to GPS
Enter key
All five circles are Blue condition, then TX Enable finally becomes Blue.
This condition is unmute condition.
If any condition is not matched, then TX Enable Blue circle changed to RED
with TX Disable message.
ACU gives TX mute command to Modem and Modem stop TX.
A PC or laptop
Note: Call Teleport for assistance may be required during the test.
- The remote portion of the cross polarization test is conducted from the
iSite GUI.
1. While still logged on to iSite, call the Network Help Desk (Teleport hub antenna). The Network Operator will
establish a conference call between you, the Help Desk, and the satellite provider.
2. Provide the final antenna pointing voltage reading to the operator at the Network Help Desk.
He will record the value for their records.
1. When instructed by the satellite provider, click the Start button on the Cross Polarization
dialog box. This will program the Satellite Router with the calculated L-band frequency.
WARNING! Do not click the Start button until instructed to do so by the satellite provider.
When you do click Start, your Satellite Router will start transmitting a
Continuous Wave Carrier, or “CW.”
WARNING! You may receive an error message after clicking the Start button.
If this happens, click the Stop button and try again.
2. If the Satellite Provider asks you to adjust the Satellite Router’s transmit power,
select the appropriate power value in the Transmit Power box.
The satellite provider will ask you to adjust the azimuth, polarization, and/or elevation.
The polarization is typically adjusted first.
If the correct isolation cannot be achieved, then
the operator may ask you to adjust the azimuth and/or elevation.
- The Teleport hub antenna is equipped with two LNBs as one handle receive and analyze both
the vertically polarized signals and the horizontally polarized signals.
- The Teleport hub antenna is equipped with a LNB that only handles vertically or horizontally
polarized signals.
5. Turn the POL angle into 90° by using 90° step size and
press + or – buttons next to “POL” to optimize
the pol angles by using a very small step size (1° or 0.5°)
until the Teleport receives the peak signal.
2. Confirm that the Network Operator at the help desk has recorded the cross polarization results.
- Perform the 1 dB Compression Point test with the same CW setup used during the cross polarization
test. This test determines the point at which the Satellite Router’s transmit power saturates the BUC.
1) With the iSite Cross Polarization dialog box still opened, and with the Network Operator
watching the CW, increase the transmit power of the carrier in the Adjust Transmit Power
drop-down box by 1 dBm increments.
2) If power does not increase, decrease the power by 1 dBm until the operator sees the CW
decrease by 1 dB.
Note: The last point at which the CW changes by 1 dB is the 1 dB compression point.
4) Click the Stop on the button Cross Polarization dialog box to turn off the CW carrier. Then
exit iSite.
