4 Advocacies
I. OBJECTIVES
1. Participates in implementing an environmental project such as building and maintaining
a school garden or conducting a war on waste campaign (depends on feasibility)

2. Implement actions in lessening the environmental health problems in the community
III. DISCUSSION
Good day everyone! This is your final module in Health 9, and it is expected that you
are already equipped with full of knowledge and ideas about the doing our part in the
prevention and control of environmental health problems.
In this module, you will identify and apply basic concepts in lessening environmental
health problems. Having a healthy community leads to the safety of every individual. You
already have the concepts of having an ideal community in the promotion of environmental
health. There are dangers around if we continue to live threatening our surroundings. In fact,
we have been embedded through series of natural phenomena. Damages are more obvious!
In this activity, you will apply the learned ideas and actively participate in the
programs/activities of the community. By this, you can assess, even if in your own little way
that you can make a difference.
There are different agencies working together for community health. Their programs
are also anchored in sustaining community development. Activities and programs for the
community must be coordinated with the following agencies mentioned below for support
and cooperation.

V. GENERALIZATION
You have learned the importance of having a healthy community, thus, leading to the
safety of every individual. The concept of having an ideal community helps primarily to the
promotion of Environmental Health. There are dangers around if we continue to live
threatening our surroundings. In fact, we have been embedded through series of natural
phenomena. Damages are more obvious!
VI. EXERCISES
Activity I. “Think and Do”
Directions:
1. Think of simple ways to lessen environmental health problems in your community.
2. Demonstrate these ways.
3. You may draw, research, and cut pictures or take photos of your demonstrations and
paste them on a bond paper.
4. Put a caption in each picture.

Activity II. “Song Irony”
Directions: The activity is based from the song, “Masdan mo ang Kapaligiran”. Compose
the irony message of the song using the same melody. Make the negative lyrics into positive
one.
