Observations:
1- Column #1 – flange loss does not meet criteria for repair, web loss meets criteria for repair .
2- Column #2 - flange loss does not meet criteria for repair, web loss meets criteria for repair .
3- Column #31 – flange loss does not meet criteria for repair, web loss not investigated, no visual corrosion.
4- Platform girder bottom flange loss does not meet criteria for repair.

Remarks /Recommendations:
Obstructions (walls, equipments, concrete column cove bases) prevented measurements of all elements of columns to
be take. Measurements were taken at worst sections, chosen based on visual observation.

on two sides. Measurements of north
flange and opposite side of web were
not taken as there was no access to
column in room.

In order to repair column, section of


CMU wall shown must be removed.
Pump equipment, electrical conduit
and water lines may need to be
relocated.

the column is encased within
a terra-cotta wall.

In order to repair column,


wall and corresponding tile
needs to be removed. Space
heater, exhaust fan and
Ejector Room door need to
be temporarily removed.

platform topping elevation.
