ORDER

The issue for consideration is action against illegal dumping of

garbage in river Narmada by M/s. Ranjeet Buildcon Ltd. in violation

of the environmental norms.

Vide order dated 25.09.2018, we had directed the Gujarat

Coastal Zone Management Authority and the Gujarat Pollution

Control Board to jointly look into the matter and furnish a report.

Accordingly, action taken report dated 17.10.2018 has been

furnished to the effect that notice was issued to the alleged polluters

and remedial steps have been taken.

Learned Counsel for the Gujarat Pollution Control Board also

states that further action of recovery of compensation for the damage

to the environment on ‘Polluter Pays’ principle will be considered

within one month.

In view of above, no further order is necessary.
